HIGH HOPES FOR WAYV | WayV - Take Off MV

After waiting for a new title from WayV, the wait is finally over! Let's get into this review!

Lucas's rap improved so much and he's truly starting to fit into his rapper position now. You can start to hear his own special flow and style coming out now! This makes me very excited to hear more of Lucas's raps in the future. Yangyang is already such a good rapper too and his verses were awesome! His whole style and vibe make him my favorite in this unit besides Lucas.

Seeing Ten and Lucas (even more so) front and center was also such a new feeling because in the other units, they are not really to prominent and are usually in the back but here you can fully absorb them.

Ten especially has a new swag and charm to him that we haven't really seen before this and he's giving off more "main" vibes than he did in NCT U.

WinKun are by far the most improved out of everyone! They actually have so much more of everything! The screen time, the lines, the presence, everything!

Kun is the most surprising and satisfying in this MV because, truth be told, he is one of the most INVISIBLE members of the entire NCT and this MV displays him as the boss he truly is!!

The fact that barely anyone mentioned him proves my statement that he is truly invisible...damn...
Revel in his glory before it's too late 🤣😐👇🏾

With Winwin also having more opportunity to shine in WayV, I'm looking forward to hearing more of him. His voice definitely needs to be heard and I'm sure that we'll be hearing it a lot more.

Xiaojun's breakdown verses showed off more of his vocal color, than "Regular" and his voice is much more distinct in this too. Xiaojun's vocals are just beautiful and I can't wait to hear more of him.

The concept is also really cool, some scenes reminiscent of "Cherry Bomb", but nonetheless, it was its own thing. I haven't seen people mention this in the comments: Yangyang's role in the MV is the same as his dream. 😉🏎🏁

Overall, I enjoyed this MV/song since it was cool and catchy. Surprisingly, this actually has me warming up to rap in Chinese since I always liked pop and ballads in Chinese better. WayV is coming into their own and I have even higher hopes for WayV now and I hope ya'll do too!
