EXPENSIVE, MYSTERIOUS, SEXY, SCI-FI | WayV - Regular MV

Just like everyone else, I was kinda surprised that WayV did their Chinese version but honestly, I'm not even mad 'cause it's all part of the plan; plus, "Regular" is a bop in any language.
I'll be putting up another video on this blog's YT channel talking about the situation of WayV so be sure to look out for that. I wanna talk about all the controversy and Winwin but I honestly don't want to fill this review blog post with heavy vibes.

Anywho...

First of all, I'd have to say the right members were chosen for each part since their voices fit well while still showing off their own unique vocals. Even Kun got some of the rap lines Taeyong had which was pretty cool and it actually works. And speaking of rap, the rumors were actually correct that Yangang is a rapper and he's actually really good! One of my favorites for this unit, definitely.

Xiaojun was truly the baddest in this song from visuals to vocals! This boy attacked so hard that my edges were snatched and are never coming back. 😂😂😂
He's seriously one of the few rookies to debut so impressively and it's not even the unit's original song, damn... He's for sure a contender as a bias so far.

The choreo for this is so awesome! It's hard to pick a favorite choreo for me but I really enjoyed seeing how new moves can be incorporated into the same song. Props to the choreographers 'cause they knew how to keep it familiar without having them do the same thing 127 did. 👌

Even though I enjoyed this version a lot, I'm disappointed that it wasn't the same as in the teasers 'cause the version of the audio was arranged differently but with the overall same sound so I was excited to get a fresh new flavor of "Regular" music-wise; although, I am still satisfied with getting an alternate look to "Regular". I'd say that this MV is definitely making it hard to choose a favorite MV version.

The MV is very different from the Korean and English versions. It gave a more night feel while the other two versions had a daytime feel. The Korean and English versions were set in the city and gave off more swag while this version has this expensive, sci-fi kinda look to it and was more mysterious and sexy. WayV's version is my favorite MV version (by 0.5%). Regardless, my favorite song version is the English one, hands down, no if, ands, or buts.

Since I'm curious, there are three polls at the end of this post so please vote for which MV version and song version you like best and also vote for whether or not you like this era's new blog theme!
