EVERYONE IS SHINING!! | NCT 127 - Chain MV + Album Review
Finally, I'm writing a post for "Chain" (three days after the day I said I would! As expected from my stereotypical self )! I promise, in June, my blog will definitely be more active and I have really cool plans for it as well and I hope they happen! It'll be summer vacation so much of my time will be here! I've been out of tune this school year so everything is running very smoothly.
Anyway,
enough about me and more about these guys right here. 😂😂😂
First off,
I love how unique the beat is! At the same time, it kinda caught me off guard!
I really
love beats that have odd sounds or sounds that come from everyday objects etc.
This beat really suited my taste well. 😉
At first,
I couldn't really feel the chorus and the first few verses but after listening
to it more, I'm bopping to it with a stank face. 🤣 My favorite parts are probably the chorus and the breakdown and
ending; so stunning. This song would be straight fire playing through
some high-quality, bass-boosted speakers. 🔊🎶
Usually, I
favor Mark's raps in title songs but Taeyong slayed my life in this song. One
of my favorite verses for Taeyong in title songs! It was
particularly pleasing to hear Haechan's vocals in this song as well as
get more of Johnny, Winwin, AND Yuta. 😏😀😆
Luckily,
this song is letting them shine more than the Korean title songs ever did and
I'm so happy about that! We finally have a song that has EVERY member
shining!
The choreo is
also cool! It's a little slower than usual for them but it has a slightly
different tone than their others. I do hope we get a choreography version
because I'd really look forward to that!
When it
comes to visuals, styling, and set, I think this is the most attacked I've ever
been, FOR REAL.
It took me
three watches in order to feel slightly less attacked by them. It's like... how
did every single one of the snap? What is this miraculous phenomenon? Despite
everyone being hella rude,
I internally lost it when I saw Jaehyun, Yuta, Winwin, and Mark. Do you know what got into
them? I don't. 🤷🏾♀😂😅
Lastly, I
need to say that the sets were just amazing without a doubt. 👌🏾 All of the sets are just
complementing their rudeness but the one I find so beautiful is the one with
the blue sunset-like background. I seriously want to personally thank whoever
directed and planned the sets! Screenshot and GIF worthy
indeed.
Overall,
though it was a (rare) grower, it could easily climb up my list as a favorite!
The song and MV were
high quality, colorful, and attention-grabbing. I think it's a pretty solid
Japan debut song!
Now to review this album! Just to keep things short, I'll make each song 280 characters or under! (Let's hope I stay below it!)
1. Dreaming
1. Dreaming
Dreaming seems like it's really bassy which is always good! Doyoung's voice what so nice in this song. Just perfection! I feel like this song gives a bit of a 90's R&B vibe.
2. Chain

3. Limitless
(Click here to see the post!)
4. Come Back
This one went hard during the breakdown!! This song also feels a little old-school too. The lyrics are also pretty sweet. It kinda sounds like a long-lost Limitless album song to me.
5. 100
This was surprisingly had a little bit of an EDM feel and the verses were chill.
The background vocalizing and sound effects were so nice! This one night be a favorite alongside "Chain" and "Come Back".
Conclusion
I think the songs were really nice and a good start off in Japan. I like how the songs sound different from their Korean ones, yet they have a familiar feeling so it's not too much of a shock. As usual, there was not a bad song! All of them had nice beats and vocals and I'd assume that (when I check them) the lyrics are great too! (FYI, I'm not that fluent... 😅 )
